It’s that time of year: international domains are going up in price…again
Some international domains are costing more for us to supply, so we’re reluctantly increasing some domain prices.
We’re begrudgingly announcing price rises for some of the most popular international domains we offer. It’s the result of yet another round of year-end price hikes from our international wholesale domain suppliers. This is not the kind of news we like sharing.
These changes most notably affect the price of .com domains on 1 Nov 2026, .info domains on 19 Jan 2027, and .net domains on 1 March 2027.
What’s changing?
The below prices will apply to all new domain registrations and renewals.
- .com:
$30> $32 (as of 1 November 2026) - .info:
$63> $70 (as of 19 January 2027) - .net:
$36> $40 (as of 1 March 2027)

Lock in current pricing while you can
If you’re reading before the dates listed above, you’ll still be able to get .com, .info or .net domains at our current price. Domain renewals and new domain registrations before then will lock in some more years of domain ownership at today’s lower rates (avoiding the price rises for that period).
We also recently announced incoming .au domain price changes, based on a similar situation with our Australian wholesaler. Those changes which will take effect on October 1.

What’s making these domains more expensive?
While ICANN is the regulator for .com, .info, and .net domains, the for-profit company Verisign operates the commercial side of these international domains.
The short explanation for these price rises: Verisign is in charge of .com prices, and they’ve got a habit of regularly increasing their domain prices. It’s far from the first time they’ve done this.
As they do nearly every year, Verisign has informed us that they’ll be raising their wholesale domain prices. It’s safe to assume that this year’s price rises won't be the last time we see increases we see from Verisign.
There’s still time
You still have a window of opportunity to lock in today’s prices before international domains like .com, .net and .info go up in price again.
If you’re intending to hold onto a domain for a while, it makes sense to lock in the cheaper domain prices now for future years before they go up.
